WEIGHTED VEST PERFECT FOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS

PRODUCT INFORMATION:

This vest is designed for multiple uses where a quick and easy switch is required between participants. It features large and capacious outer pockets that allow for a heavier load and is complete with large clip fasteners. The weight modules are filled with natural gravel and the vest is available in red, pink, blue, navy blue, and black.

The OT Vest comes in handy when there is more than one user or when one user requires additional inserts during meltdowns or therapy sessions. It makes it easier and faster to load the weight inserts with the outer pockets. The vest can stay on while the weight is adjusted.

Front plastic fasteners hold the vest in place but also allow for quick changing when used by a group of pupils in the classroom or therapy session. This vest can be loaded with more than just 5% of the user's weight, as suggested for everyday vests. The user can verbally or non-verbally determine the level by showing willingness to wear it for longer. It is known that children with sensory integration disorder might feel more comfortable with a heavier vest than the standard suggestion. This vest can be used in intervals and for a time length determined by the user. Observation is key.

A weighted vest applies deep pressure to the muscles and joints of the user. Weighted therapy is recommended for disorders such as autism, Asperger’s, sensory integration, ADHD, cerebral palsy, poor motor skills and coordination, hyperactivity, and difficulties falling asleep at night.

We care for the most natural look and feel of our products therefore both outer and inner sides are made of 100% cotton.
